AUCKLAND OPERA STUDIO

A HOME FOR NEW ZEALAND’S OPERA TALENT

About the Studio

Founded in 2002 by pianist and vocal coach Frances Wilson and her husband Stephen Fitzgerald, Auckland Opera Studio was created to give New Zealand singers a place to grow and perform at the highest level in their own country.

After years of professional life in New York, Frances and Stephen returned to Auckland with a clear vision: to prepare young singers for the rigours of international study and performance, while supporting established artists in refining their craft.
